Tray development and automation go hand in hand

Söhner Kunststofftechnik GmbH and system integrator ESSERT Robotics enter into a strategic partnership.
In the automation of manual work activities, one of the core processes is the provision and processing of different materials. In addition to bulk material, the material to be processed is often supplied in workpiece carriers or trays and delivered to the automation system, depending on the process.

With the presentation of its tray stacker, ESSERT GmbH offers an autonomous modular unit that stacks workpiece carriers in a space-saving manner and supplies them to the automation system. Autarky times are increased, human intervention is reduced and the holding capacity is increased. During the development of the stacker module – especially with regard to tray handling and the selection of suitable workpiece carriers – close cooperation was established with Söhner Kunststofftechnik GmbH.

Both companies agree: In most cases, too little thought is given to the future automation solution during tray development or production. This can lead to unexpected delays at a later stage in the ongoing project, which could have been avoided. With the strategic partnership, both companies would like to bundle their expertise in order to continue to offer their customers the perfect solution.
